Integrity Group Helps Bolster Community Care: Foothills Country Hospice Expansion Donation

Driven by the ethos of ‘build better’ and a steadfast dedication to integrity, the Integrity Group of Companies stands out for its unwavering commitment to excellence. Founded on the belief that they will never stop at good enough, Integrity is committed to doing the right thing for their customers, employees and their communities. “We are founded on the idea that we can, and should, do it better,” explains Jerry Myer, CEO and founder of Integrity. “We hold ourselves to a high standard, endeavouring to leave a lasting positive impact on our customers and local communities.”

This commitment to community support is a driving factor in Integrity’s recent gift-in-kind donation to the Foothills Country Hospice expansion campaign. Established in January 2008, the hospice offers compassionate end-of-life care for residents and their families, as well as community outreach programming. Their expansion project will double the hospice’s capacity, broaden outreach programs, and enhance community impact throughout Southern Alberta.

“The hospice plays an important role in end-of-life care,” explains Shaun Dyer, Executive Director of the Foothills Country Hospice. “The need for palliative and end-of-life care in the Foothills region is increasing as the population ages, and the strain on acute care facilities rises. Foothills Country Hospice is responding to that need by creating more space to serve more residents and their families.”

Integrity’s involvement stems from a natural alignment of values and expertise. Scott Myer, COO of Integrity, explains, “When approached by the Foothills Country Hospice fundraising committee, we willingly agreed to support their expansion by donating essential building materials. As suppliers of framing materials to home builders in Calgary and surrounding areas, providing the required materials was a seamless fit for us, and we were eager to contribute.”

“This gift is significant for the hospice’s expansion,” Doug Ramsay, Co-Chair of the Hospice Capital Campaign. “Integrity is a lead donor in our campaign, jumpstarting our major fundraising efforts and significantly contributing to our success.”

The impact of Integrity’s donation is tangible, as Shaun affirms, “Integrity is quite literally helping to expand our centre for excellence in end-of-life care. Integrity’s donation means more capacity to serve a greater number of people with the highest standards of care and support.”

Integrity is committed to giving back to the communities that have given them so much, and this donation is an expression of that commitment. “We feel privileged to support the Foothills Country Hospice in their mission to provide exceptional end-of-life care,” explains Shanna Groeneveld, CSO for Integrity. “The services the hospice offers are important for the people in our community and we believe it’s our responsibility, as business leaders, to leave a legacy of positive impact on our communities.”

Shaun echoes this sentiment, “Integrity’s donation to Foothills Country Hospice reflects what we know to be true of Integrity: Integrity cares about community, is an innovative business partner, and a true champion of big ideas.”

“Integrity is focused on giving back and contributing, both in business and in the community,” adds Doug. “I’m proud of what Integrity has accomplished, and I am proud to work with them as they exercise their commitment to giving back.”
