Looking back, 2023 was a significant year for the Integrity Group of Companies. It marked our fifteenth year in business and provided the perfect opportunity to reflect on our journey and celebrate our successes.
“We wanted to acknowledge our growth, our innovation, our employees and our community,” explains Jerry Myer, CEO of the Integrity Group and founder of Integrity Post Structures. “We took this opportunity to reflect on how far we have come, how excited we are for the future and to acknowledge the many people who have played a part in our journey.”
One of the unique aspects of our anniversary celebration was rallying our employees around a year-long Give Back project, comprising of three parts – gift-in-kind donations, fundraising and volunteering. The campaign was designed to positively impact our communities as well as bring our own team of over 200 employees together. “We are committed to giving back to our communities, ” explains Scott Myer, Chief Operations Officer of the Integrity Group. “And we know that our employees are also very community-minded and generous people. It’s a winning combination!.”
The first leg of the campaign involved collecting essential items and gift-in-kind donations for various local charities. “Our team of over 200 employees broke into groups and together, selected and supported 7 different not-for-profit organizations in the local area.,” explains Shanna Groeneveld, Integrity’s Chief Strategy Officer. “Our amazing people filled over seven truckloads of donations including clothing, toys, housewares and food – it was a huge, and fun, success!”
Another goal was to make a significant contribution to an organization that our many customers might also feel passionate about. During our celebration event we brought together valued customers, employees, partners and community members for an afternoon to celebrate our 15th Anniversary while also raising money for STARS Air Ambulance.
STARS, a non-profit organization, provides critical care and emergency medical transport services across Western Canada. Their helicopters are lifesavers for people in remote areas or those requiring urgent medical attention during transport. “Considering a majority of Integrity Post Structures’ customers live and work in more rural and remote areas, supporting STARS felt like a way to give back to a lot of Prairie communities at the same time,” explains Shanna. “Our donation of over $45,000 felt absolutely incredible.”
The final phase of the Integrity Give Back campaign included teams of our employees volunteering with selected charities. This initiative allowed us to directly contribute our time and skills to causes we deeply care about, fostering a sense of community spirit and engagement, and even team-building.
“It was a great opportunity to go out into the community and give back in a small, but meaningful way,” explained Jerry. “ Altogether, our teams logged more than 172 hours of volunteering and had fun while doing it.”
“The Integrity Give Back project was a resounding success,” adds Scott. “We wanted to help make our 15th year in business a reflection of who we are at our core, and we feel we accomplished this. Our team’s dedication and hard work resulted in tangible benefits for many local organizations.”
Integrity’s 15th-anniversary celebration wasn’t just about reflecting on our achievements; it was about building a stronger future for the communities we serve. As we embark on our next chapter, one thing remains certain: our dedication to building a better future extends far beyond the walls of our business.
